The Meeting Park OASIS location in Ruoholahti (Itämerenkatu 14, Helsinki), opened in autumn 2022, will close its operations at the end of June 2025 due to external factors *. All meeting and event operations will continue as normal until Friday, June 27, 2025.
Impact on customers
All reservations made for Meeting Park OASIS beyond June 27, 2025, will unfortunately have to be cancelled. However, all events scheduled up to and including June 27, 2025, will be carried out normally in accordance with our service promise – professionally and with genuine care.
Backround to the decision
For the past 15 years, Meeting Park has provided meeting, event, and workspace solutions for over 3,200 domestic and international business clients. The planning of the Ruoholahti location began in 2019 in response to increasing demand for space. However, the COVID-19 pandemic, the subsequent economic uncertainty, the war in Ukraine, and a general economic downturn have significantly changed the business environment.
Despite a nearly 50% increase in revenue in 2024, continued market uncertainty, evolving customer needs, fluctuating demand, and challenges related to the property have made long-term development of the business at this location increasingly difficult.
The decision to discontinue operations at the growing Meeting Park OASIS Ruoholahti location is based on external factors beyond the company’s control.
* Update (7.5.): According to a press release published by the City of Helsinki on Wed. 7.4., the property, currently used mainly for the Meeting Park OASIS location, would be demolished and replaced by several apartment buildings that would house commercial premises and apartments for approximately 700 residents.
In conclusion
We sincerely regret any inconvenience this may cause our clients and are doing our utmost to support you during this transition. We are currently in discussions with alternative service providers to offer replacement venue options for our customers. We will provide further updates on these solutions, as well as on any potential new locations that may become available after the summer.
Our staff will also be in direct contact with those clients whose reservations are affected by the closure.
